What is a Subscriber?

A subscriber is a concept in cybernality that allows you to use our platform and its information. It is comparable to a licence to use the information. Your subscription defines how many subscribers you can create.

Why do I need it?

A subscriber is mandatory in order to use the information in cybernality. In contrast to the admin roles, subscribers can receive and read search results. A subscriber can either be a human cybernality user, an external email address or an api endpoint.

How many Subscribers can I create?

The number of subscribers depends on the booked subscription and its plans.

What different types of subscribers are there?

There are three different types of subscribers:

  • cybernality user: A user in cybernality can be defined as the target for notifications. This means that the user's email address is used as the recipient email address.

  • external email recipients: External email recipients are email addresses that are not assigned to a cybernality user. This means that it is not a requirement to be a cybernality user to receive feed notifications. Typically, email addresses of teams are defined here, e.g. blueteam@addopt.io.

  • API endpoints: These are URLs to any API endpoint.
